Michael Hospedales
Software engineer in Miami, FL — front-end depth, full-stack range.
I'm Michael — a software engineer in Miami. My specialty is the front end: interfaces that are fast, accessible, and pleasant to maintain. My range is the full stack: I'm as comfortable wiring Lambda functions and CI pipelines as I am tuning render performance.
Outside work hours I run a homelab built around an NVIDIA DGX Spark. It's where I experiment with local language models — including an AI writing pipeline that drafts posts for this blog and opens pull requests for my review. I believe the most useful way to learn AI engineering is to run the machines yourself, and the most honest way to show it is to publish the process.
This site is built in public too: the refresh is documented as a project, and the source lives on GitHub.

Good conversations about the craft: collaborations on open source or content, homelab and local-AI shop talk, and interesting technical problems generally. If that's you, say hello.
